Science Communication Training & Competition

 

Are you busy with significant African research?

Are you studying or working in Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics in South Africa?

Yes? Jive Media Africa has just the competition for you!

FameLab is an international competitionspanning 30 countries. It aims to develop Science Communication skills amongst those working in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.

Contestants will be asked to convey a scientific concept of their choice in 3 minutes to a panel of judges including leading researchers, media personalities and science policy makers. They will be judged on the content clarity and charisma of their presentation.

Candidates must be 21-35 years old and registered or working in the above-mentioned fields at a South African organisation or institution.

Tuesday 7th February 2017 – Science Communication Training with UNISA
Wednesday 8th February 2017 - The CSIR will host the FameLab Regional Heat from 13:00 to 15:30. Register: www.britishcouncil.org.za/famelab.

NEXT WEEK

The team will be at the University of Limpopo and Tshwane University of Technology.
