A representative of Anglo American Platinum, Andrew Hinkly, and the Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor, will launch an alternative energy project in the Eastern Cape on 12 June, together with Gavin Coetzer, CEO of Clean Energy Investments, and Mike Hellyar, MD of Air Products South Africa.

The project is piloting the use of hydrogen fuel cell technology for standby power at three schools in Cofimvaba.

The launch will be held at Mvuzo Junior Secondary School.  The other schools benefiting from this project are the Arthur Mfebe Senior Secondary and St Mark's Junior Secondary Schools.
