Announcing South African Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Summer School
The vision for the South African nanoscience and nanotechnology school is to create a pool of nanoscientists sufficiently trained to conduct nanoscience research. The theme for 2009 is “addressing the fundamentals of nanoscience and advanced applications in the field of health and water”
The school will focus on training aspirant and experienced scientists from all corners of the globe, on the frontiers and fundamentals of nanoscience and the application of the technology in the field of water and health. The school will bring together experts in the field to present courses, covering topics in physics, chemistry, life sciences, advanced materials characterization, electronics and fabrication techniques. Participants will have an opportunity for hands-on experience in characterization techniques, in addition discussions and debates will be conducted around safety and ethical issues of Nanotechnology.
